The Hon. Rick Perry, Governor of Texas has just issued a proclamation making Barbara Taylor Bradford a citizen of the state of Texas. The proclamation was made at a ceremony in the presence of former First Lady, Barbara Bush and other dignitaries in Houston, while Barbara attended a fundraiser forTaping For The Blind.
The event was followed the next day by a sold-out charity luncheon with over 500 guests attending, sponsored by the Baylor College of Medicine. Barbara was honored on the 30th anniversary of A Woman of Substance and the launch of her new bestselling novel, Breaking The Rules.
