Author "Take On" 'Reviews update

I wanted to do an update for this event. This is not an event as most of you think it will be. This entire event is an interview on what authors thinks about our blogs and reviews. You can find the question below. My reviewer Cynthia and I came up with these questions and we both feel they are fitting for reviewers/ bloggers like us. I am trying to help get the feel of what author’s likes and dislikes. That way we can do little changes to our blog or review if need be to bring more authors to our blogs. I want this to be fun learning experience.  So, don’t fret because I don’t feel this will be a yelling match by no means. Besides the authors I have gave some great tips and advice for us. So don’t miss out.

Now, as for the giveaways. Some of the authors will be having a giveaway on their interview. So please make sure you enter those. There will also be giveaways for: top commenter’s, the person with the best question, the person with the best comment and so on…. So far, I have theses book lined up and I am working on a couple of big swags giveaways. Make sure you read the post that day because I can surprise you and ask a question just to giveaway some swag prizes or a book for the day.

Here are questions that was asked to the authors:

Is there something specific you look for in a review? If so what?

If you send your books to a book review blog is there something specific you look for when you’re looking at their blog?

What type of review do you like best: short or long?

What do you think about spoilers in reviews?

Now let’s talk about rating systems. On a scale of 1-5 stars, what would be your opinion of the ratings? Starting with the lowest at one first.

2.
3.
4.
5.

What do you think about sexual ratings?  Some reviewers use them.

What do reviewers do that irks you the most?

What do you think about awards given to books by a review blogger?

As readers/reviewers we love book giveaways. How do you feel about them?

What would be your best piece of advice for a book blogger/reviewer?
What’s the turnaround time expected when you give a reviewer a book to review?

Is there anything else you’d like to add?
