My Review:

Good vampires, bad vampires, a centuries old grudge, witches, werewolves, some humor and an undeniable attraction are featured in this sexy paranormal romance.

We first met the witches of this coven in the Dare's Westfield Wolves series, but don't worry if you haven't read that series, this story is a stand alone book in this new series spin-off.

Blaire, the 24 year old female lead, is the witty and strong battle witch of the coven. She and her two brothers have been alone in the world since their parents died. Their father died leaving them with a lot of debt. He hadn't been the same since their mom died 10 years earlier. When she finds the man locked in the cellar of their newly discovered "pile of rocks" castle in the Highlands, she knows he's not quite human but she is very attracted to him nonetheless.

James, Lord Kettering, wakes up after 20 years to find himself locked in a dark room after hearing people walking around upstairs. He is instantly intrigued and drawn to the young woman who lets him out. All he remembers is the coven of witches who surrounded him and accused him of evilly murdering victims in the past, present and future.

There is hot chemistry between Blaire and James and she fears he has become her weakness. Familiar with lycans, she isn't surprised to find James is a vampire, much to his astonishment. She is a constant amazement to him.

Dare comes up with a delightfully inventive solution to the problem of what to do with people in a relationship where one is immortal, or long-lived, and one is not.

I enjoyed this story very much. I think fans of the paranormal romance and sexy good vampire genres will as well.
