Interview with Paranormal Romance / Erotic Author Crymsyn Hart & Giveaway

Please welcome Paranormal Romance Author Crymsyn Hart

Ronda - Hello Crymsyn, thank you so much for taking the time out to do this interview.

http://www.ravynhart.com/
Crymsyn – Thanks Ronda. I appreciate being here.

Ronda - Would you tell us a little about yourself?

Crymsyn – I’m originally from Massachusetts but have lived in North Carolina for 9 years with my husband. I’ve been writing professionally for four years and have published over 50 novels. I love horror movies, vampire movies, and anything gory. My house is decorated for Halloween all year around. I’m a psychic, so my experience with the paranormal gives me some good ideas to write about. I have a small collection of Living Dead Dolls which come in their own coffins. My husband and I are both from Massachusetts, but I met him there through a friend of mine. I have a two dogs that use me for their personal slave who force me to play with them and give them treats.

Ronda - What inspired you to write?

Crymsyn – I was inspired to write because I loved to delve into my imagination. I started writing when I was young. My first book was about a fantasy world filled with unicorns. The next one I wrote was to rewrite an ending of a book series that I loved. The older I got the more I retreated into my own world. I had family who encouraged me to write as well as teachers. So I kept it up. From there I’ve kept on writing through college and finally I was published.

Ronda – You recently had a new release out called Dragonkin, can you tell us a little about it?

CrymsynDragonkin was inspired by a dream I had about another world filled with dragons and sorcerers. Although the dragons were bonded to their sorcerers.

Kestrel, the heroine, is a spellcaster who was bonded with her dragon Castigan. After a horrible battle, Catigan is mortally wounded and in order to save Kestrel’s life he gives her part of himself. She survives an outcast among her peers. Wanting to find some peace, she goes to the dragon king’s mountain only to find what she had lost in the dragon prince, Andrik.

Ronda – You have written so many good books but I haven’t got the chance to Read them all, however, I have had the great opportunity to read a couple of your series and I absolutely loved Devil’s Tavern Series and the Storm Riders Series. Would you please tell these who have never hear of these two series a little about them?

Crymsyn – Thank you Ronda. I’m glad that you enjoyed them.

The Storm Riders Series was an idea born of a quick trip to the grocery store with my husband. We were listening to the radio and Peter Gabriel’s song Riders on the Storm came across the airwaves. I listened to the song and saw the title gliding across the radio screen and the idea hit me.

The series is about a pair of riders for each element. They are commanded by the Archangels to ride storms such as earthquakes, hurricanes, mudslides, forest fires, and any major elemental happening. Each pair is immortal and find themselves in a pickle when a third person comes into the mix. Out now are Storm Riders, Smoke Jumpers, Impassioned Waters, and Quaking Hearts is the fourth installment coming soon.

The Devil’s Tavern Series was actually born from a joke. What would happen if a psychic, a werewolf, a vampire, and a fallen angel ended up in a bar together? I knew the outcome; I just had to figure out ways to get them there. The series contains five books. The first four are about how the characters find their mates and how they are introduced to the being that eventually calls them to the tavern. Book five is about their confrontation with the creature.

Ronda - Out of all the books you wrote, do you have a few that holds a special place in your heart. How about your heroes and heroines, do you have a favorite among them?

Crymsyn – I do have a few books that are special to me. Immortal Desires is the first book I wrote to get published and it’s based on my past and the experiences I’ve had with friends. Midnight Mocha was written while the short lived vampire show, Moonlight, was on. I was really inspired by the show.

My favorite character out of all of the ones I have written is Azrael, the angel of death. He appears in my Soul Reaper Series, but tends to crop up in other books as well. He likes to make himself known and since he’s death he can go pretty much wherever he wants. But he’s also a complicated, handsome, and brooding character who demands that I acknowledge him once and a while.

Ronda - Would you tell us a little of what you’re working on next?

Crymsyn – Well I have several things that I’m working on right now. I’m currently editing a Dark Fantasy Romance called House of Moon Dark about a librarian who gets pulled into the fey realm only to find she is heir to the throne.

I’m working on a series of shorts called Hell’s Gate about specific characters who work in the club.

I am in the middle of writing a crime thriller that is on my list to complete in the next couple of months. It’s been haunting me for while and this is the year to get old things done.

Ronda - What are some of your favorite author’s and some of your favorite books you’ve read?

Crymsyn – Some of my favorite authors are: Nancy Kilpatrick, Elaine Bergstrom, Christopher Moore, and L.A. Banks. Some of my favorite books are: Shattered Glass, The Making of a Monster, Bloodsucking Fiends, Interview with the Vampire and way too many more to count.

Fun Questions

Ronda - What is your favorite color?

Crymsyn – My favorite color is black. The next one in line after that would be dark purple. Which is great because my husband likes both of those colors too.

Ronda - Do you have any pets?

Crymsyn - I have a small zoo. I used to have more, but they have died off.
I have a Bearded Dragon named Demon, a Nanday Conure named Paunch who hates one of our dog, a Black Lab named Morrigaine, and a Border Collie/Black Lab mix named Cadence. Both of the dogs keep me busy so I have to lock them out of my office lest they give me a death stare and leech all the energy from me and make me their slave to playing fetch and giving them treats all day.

Ronda - What your favorite movie and TV show?

Crymsyn - My favorite movie of all time has to be Poltergeist. It was the very first horror movie I saw when I was four. Gave me a horrible dislike of mirrors for a long time.
My favorite TV show is Supernatural. Two hunky guys chasing down demons and any evil nasty things.
Ronda - Do you have a favorite food or place to eat?

Crymsyn – My favorite food is cheesecake. LOL, but normally what soothes my cravings is anything with chocolate and peanut butter mixed together. I’m partial to Peanut M&Ms Although for anything non sweet like, I would have to go with pasta just because you can do so much with it. And hubby is Italian so we eat a lot of it.
