Chief of Police James Winchester and Emma Gray fear a monster from the past has returned to make Medusa its feeding ground. With passion flaring between them and a storm isolating the island, Emma and James have no choice but to again face the horror of a killer who exploits the deepest fears of his victims. When James and Emma discover that Emma is destined to be the next victim, will the love they share be strong enough to save them? Or will the monster finally finish what he started five years before?

Rating 4/5
Sexual- Mild
This book surprised me, it turned out to be a really good enjoyable read. It’s a vampire romance, but nothing like I have read before. I don’t want to give out to much of this book, its to much fun to unravel the mystery as you go. This is more on a thriller lines, so make sure you can handle being a little scared or disturbed. The romance is not as hot as PNR lines goes, but its really good. I really liked James and how he handled Emma it was really sweet. Emma as you’ll read in this first of the book, she had a very bad experience with a evil vampire and somehow she got out alive where the others didn’t, Five years after the attract, she is working with the local Doc. The local sheriff James keeps cutting his hands somehow to where he has to go to the Doc for Emma to stitch him up, he is always doing this just to be with Emma, but what Emma doesn’t know he doesn’t need the stitches James can heal is own self. You don’t only get to read about James and Emma you get quite a bit of the townsfolk’s to read about also.

My biggest problem was the ending ended to quick. The author has left room for another book, I hope to see it one day.
