My Review:

A quick sexy read, with a good story line, at 96 pages. I read it in one sitting, couldn't put it down. This is an erotic romance with a historical backdrop.

Yule does a good job of having her story set in 1889 England to illustrate the inequality of women and the treatment of anyone who deviates from the norm without allowing the historical aspect to overshadow the story. Historical romance fans may be disappointed by the lack of historical dialog but if so, the story makes up for it in other ways.

Lucy has a problem. Even though she's been running the family estate for the past couple of years while her father became more and more ill, he died leaving a will that is like a slap in the face but not totally unexpected. Lucy's father died leaving Lucy, an enlightened young woman, the only Levegne family member left except for a male cousin. He stipulated in his will she be required to marry by her twenty-sixth birthday, and to turn its management over to her husband" in order to inherit. The story begins with her only having three months left until the birthday deadline due to having to spend the past many, many months in mourning.

The Trio of Trouble, three friends since childhood, decide to crash Lucy's party with the intention of winning a wager to be the first to bed her. Paul "the adventurer poet", Jeremy "the level-headed one" and Kendall "the hothead, always spoiling for a fight" have no idea this party will change their lives forever when Lucy turns the tables on them and has the time of her life doing it.

Heed the author's warning! "Once you read about Lucy‘s liaison, one man may not be enough."

The chemistry between Lucy and the guys individually is electric. The ménage scenes between the four of them set are so hot I needed a tall glass of sweet tea to keep the temperature down. Who wouldn't want to be the focus of three very attentive men in bed at the same time especially when there is romance attached to each one? There is a quick F/F scene that has some heat itself.

I enjoyed this story utterly even though I figured out the novel solution to Lucy's predicament in advance. I think romance, historical romance and erotic romance fans will enjoy this.
