Review Salem Moon by Scarlet Black

Salem Moon

author: Scarlet Black

Source: Requested review
Length: Novel
Genre: Dark paranormal romance

When Gabriel Blackstone, a young man living in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692 is sentenced to death for the crime of witchcraft, a mysterious man appears to him, just before death comes to claim him; promising to change his fate if he will only agree to take his hand and go where he leads.

Miraculously, Gabriel is transported to 21st century Salem where, he not only escapes his fate, but meets his destiny! He falls in love with Lily Snow, a descendant of the very family that falsely accused him of witchcraft! They both know theirs is a forbidden love, but they cannot deny it!

Gabriel is shocked to learn that the man who saved his life is, in reality, an evil Fallen Angel, named Lucien, who wreaks havoc on the city of Salem with his unbridled lust and violence. He wants Gabriel’s very soul and will do whatever it takes to get it, including going after Lily!

Gabriel and Lily’s story is one of love that defies all boundaries, as they come together in a steamy passion neither of them has ever known and a love that transcends time, brutal injustice and evil itself!

Forbidden Passions Book Reviews: I loved reading this book as you actually felt you were a part of the story. The characters grew so much in details and also etched a place in my heart. I cannot wait to see what happens to these characters in the next installment in this beautiful series.

Rating-

The sexual heat between the hero and heroine is
As for the sexual with abuse or rape its very high

I loved the setting and the time travel part. I really did like how the author describes what happens around the Salem witch trials, she made it very believable. You get a couple of stories running at once, but they are easy to keep up with. I found this very book creepy and brutal with description going in to the brutally very clear, so you better be able to handle rape, killings and more. Now, about the rape the way they are written it’s not totally rape, but to me it is because the girls really don’t get a chance to say no. One of the girls is so scared by the evil angel she can’t say anything to stop what happens to her and let me tell you it’s gross, I had a very hard time reading it.
No longer the seductive angel she thought she was in
love with; he’d brutalized her in every way imaginable. She
was bleeding from both her vagina as well as her anus.
He’d flipped her over as if she weighed no more than a
small animal.
Then the story goes into describing how it happens.

I also found Gabriel and Lily’s coupling a bit too quick for my taste. Although Gabriel and Lily are teens in this book is definitely not for teen reading, it’s an 18 and over book.

I am not going into the storyline because the blurb says enough. I did like the characters even the villain plays a good part.

There is no HEA this is a continuing story. So, you’re left hanging.
