Ruby is headed to Mount McKinley in search of her missing sister. Upon arriving she informs the desk clerk she is in need of a guide and the clerk promises Carson will be available in the morning. Ruby never dreamed that Carson would be available, naked beside her, in her bed the next morning, but he was.
Carson had no patience left, he had been waiting far to long for Ruby to arrive. Knowing she was his and that she was never getting away from him, he didn’t see the problem in slipping into bed with a sleeping Ruby.
Ruby thinks a hot tryst with Carson is no biggie. Carson on the other hand is a bear shifter and once the deed is done, she is his, permanently. This is where it gets interesting.
A HOT novel by Matthews. The only thing I found slightly irritating was Ruby. She asked questions non stop and fell into bed with Carson to easily. Yes, for some reason Ruby being easy just didn’t work for me in this Matthews novel. But still an awesome, steamy read.
